Both the mind and body need stillness and quiet to rejuvenate and replenish energy just as much as they need exercise and movement. Some might argue we need it even more in this super connected hyperactive world. Yin yoga offers an opportunity to slow down and care for body and mind in a restful way. Holding seated or lying down poses for several minutes gives us the opportunity to nourish what is depleted and to bring awareness to a deeper part of ourselves--a wholeness that is pure and happy.
