108 Breaths to Freedom

Today is Day 7 of your 8 day 108 Breaths to Freedom challenge. Today, we’ll do a pranayama practice that focuses on balancing your energy. We all crave more of that balanced feeling right? You’ll use your threshold breath that we ascertained over Days 1 thru 4, so you will need:

16 Minutes of uninterrupted time to focus & practice
A comfortable place to sit, either on the floor or in a chair
Your threshold breath number

Pen or pencil to create your personal practice

Click the link below, do the exercise, and then come back and take a few moments to reflect on your experience using the reflection questions below. If you can, take a few moments before pranayama practice to do some breath-centric movement. This will help you find a full breath to practice with.

Day 7 Reflection Questions: Did you feel more balanced after the practice? If not, what did you feel? Did it feel energizing breathing equally between inhale and exhale (this can sometimes happen as we tend to have a shorter inhale than exhale)? When might practicing a samana pranayama be helpful for you?
