FREE Online Yoga Classes for Essential Workers

Contemplative practices are a critical resource for everyone right now as we learn to live with more uncertainty than we have in a long time.  This is especially true for Essential Workers—those on the front lines of the pandemic—putting themselves at risk to keep the rest of us safe and healthy.

Much of what we took for granted about our safety and sense of security has been shattered which inevitably sends our nervous system into chronic fight, flight, freeze mode.  This mode depletes our energy and makes it challenging to think clearly and make thoughtful decisions. It also leads to immune system disintegration as the body’s physiology runs out of fuel to ward off illness.

Practices like yoga, including holding postures, breathwork, and meditation, offer easy, accessible and intentional ways to re-energize and nourish yourself. These practices turn on your rest and digest mode where your body, mind, and spirit can replenish what’s depleted, refuel your energy tanks, and create a calming coherency that bolsters your resiliency.

Yoga is not meant to change your life. Life will continue to remain fragile and unpredictable as ever. Yoga helps you build your capacity to accept the aspects of life that are out of your control. This will keep you strong and reduce your suffering.

I want to help keep essential workers strong and healthy. I’m offering all of my Vermont Yoga classes, both online and on demand, free to essential workers.
