About Jen Peterson

Jen has been studying and practicing yoga and meditation for more than 11 years. She has over 1000 hours of yoga teaching experience and has been instructing and sharing yoga since 2012.

Both her personal practice and teaching are grounded in awakening to the mind, body, spirit connection.  She is passionate about the restorative and healing power of embodiment that yoga offers and loves sharing that with others.

Through her studies and her own personal healing journey through a back injury she has developed a gentle and accessible teaching style influenced by both yin and yang asana traditions.  She also incorporates Reiki into her classes to enhance energetic healing and balance for students in their practice. Students and clients who work with Jen appreciate her gentle and supportive presence and have experienced deep growth and healing in their work with her. You can read testimonials about her work here.

She received her 200hr RYT from Asheville Yoga Center and is a registered E-RYT Yoga Alliance instructor.  She is a Reiki Master and has over 400 additional training hours related to study of Viniyoga, Yin Yoga, Somatic Movement, Physiology and Anatomy, Fascial Systems, Yoga Therapeutics, Thai Massage, Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Yoga Philosophy. She is currently in training for her E-RYT 500 and Yoga Therapy certifications.
